It doesn't take very long to set up a boat for basic kayak sailing. Because one is low in a light boat it doesn't take a big sail to get going on the water. Of course, as sailers do, you can think about bigger sails and different configurations.
I have done quite a bit of this myself. The Nomadic Express Sail Rig is one result of this. As are several renditions of the Nomadic Base Rig with other mast and sail configurations.
